THE SIGNATURE SOLACE EXPERIENCE

Signature Solace
Bed Ritual.

A little time entirely your own. Recline in a curtained suite on our custom-made infrared gemstone bed, developed specifically for Solace Rejuvenation Lounge. Its heated, crystal-infused PEMF mat brings together eleven stones, red and near-infrared light settings and a negative-ion feature. Each stone has its own story; together with warmth, light and stillness, they complete a layered ritual and a quiet moment to make your own. Choose the warmth and comforts that feel right for you.

01 / YOUR RITUAL

Considered
comfort.

The bed ritual is intentionally simple: infrared warmth, your chosen drink, eye mask and blanket. Each of Solace's four beds has its own curtained suite for privacy.

02 / WITHIN THE MAT

Every layer,
considered.

Your heated, crystal-infused mat brings together PEMF technology, near-infrared and red light features, a gemstone layer and a negative-ion feature.

GEMSTONES & NEGATIVE IONS

A grounding detail

Gemstones bring colour, texture and personal meaning to the experience. As the mat warms, their natural surfaces become part of the enveloping ritual. The negative-ion feature adds another layer to the mat's design, while each stone's traditional symbolism invites reflection.

PEMF TECHNOLOGY

A studied field

PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) therapy has a long history in clinical medicine. Over the past several decades, it has moved beyond its alternative-therapy roots: certain PEMF devices have FDA authorisation for specific medical uses, and the approach has been widely studied. Researchers recognise PEMF as a legitimate biophysical tool, while noting that results depend strongly on the exact settings—frequency, wave shape and session length.

RED & NEAR-INFRARED LIGHT

Light with intention

Visible red and near-infrared light bring complementary layers to the ritual, from skin-focused care to a deeper focus on muscles, joints and whole-body wellbeing.

LIGHT IN LAYERS

From skin to
deeper rest.

Red and near-infrared light each have their own place in the ritual. Used together across larger areas of the body, they are associated with wider metabolic and systemic support.

01 / VISIBLE RED LIGHT · ~630–660 NM

Care for the surface

Visible red light works mainly in the epidermis and upper dermis, with a focus on surface-level rejuvenation.

  • Collagen and texture. Red light stimulates fibroblasts and collagen production. Alongside elastin, this can help smooth the appearance of wrinkles and refine skin texture.
  • Skin renewal. It is used to support the healing of minor wounds and the appearance of superficial scars and stretch marks.
  • A calmer complexion. Red light may ease visible facial redness and breakouts, including inflammatory skin concerns such as rosacea and eczema.
02 / NEAR-INFRARED LIGHT · ~810–1060 NM

A deeper focus

NIR light is invisible to the eye. It passes beyond the skin's surface, with depth often described at around 5 mm, bringing its focus to underlying tissues, muscles and bone.

  • Muscle recovery. NIR is used to address delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and post-workout inflammation, supporting the clearing of metabolic waste.
  • Joint comfort and movement. Its deeper reach is used to target inflammation within joint capsules and provide relief for arthritis, tendonitis and general joint stiffness.
  • Local circulation. Improved blood flow brings oxygen-rich nutrients to injured or fatigued tissues.
03 / TOGETHER · BODY & MIND

A wider sense of ease

Combined over broad areas of the body, red and NIR light are used for full-body metabolic and systemic support.

  • Sleep and rhythm. Short evening sessions may encourage a biological wind-down and support circadian rhythm and deeper sleep.
  • Mood and daytime energy. A controlled NIR study in people with mild sleep complaints reported improved mood and less daytime drowsiness with a specific dose, including during low-sunlight winter conditions.

Eleven stones, eleven stories.

When gemstones are built into an infrared heating mat, their benefits move beyond historical symbolism into practical, physical therapy. These exceptionally dense stones absorb heat from the mat's internal elements and release it slowly as far-infrared (FIR) rays and negative ions, creating a deeper therapeutic warmth than a standard fabric heating pad. Each stone brings its own way of conducting, holding or dispersing that warmth.

01 / THE POWERHOUSE CONDUCTORS

Radiant warmth & ions.

These industry-standard infrared-mat stones produce the highest volume of therapeutic energy when heated.

Amethyst

Heat transforms this stone's warmth into organised, long-wave FIR rays. The rays reach up to 15 centimetres into the body—through deep muscle layers to blood vessels and joints—raising core body temperature, heavily boosting circulation and easing chronic muscle spasms.

Traditionally associated with intuition, spiritual growth and clarity.

Tourmaline

This pyroelectric stone develops a natural electrical charge when heated, releasing negative ions into the air around you, like those found near waterfalls and oceans. Inhaling them increases oxygen flow to the brain, lowers systemic stress and helps the nervous system settle into a deeply relaxed, restorative state.

A traditional symbol of grounding and protection.

02 / THE HEAT-RETAINING SOOTHERS

Steady, even warmth.

These dense, smooth stones hold a uniform temperature without hot spots. Their gentle, weighty warmth is made for slow relaxation.

Jade

Jade absorbs heat slowly and releases it at a steady, gentle rate. Its soothing, heavy warmth calms a hyperactive nervous system, lowers cortisol and deeply relaxes tight, guarded muscles.

Traditionally linked with luck, harmony, prosperity and emotional balance.

Obsidian

When heated, it emits a strong, grounding infrared frequency that promotes vasodilation—the widening of blood vessels. Increased local blood flow helps flush metabolic waste and lactic-acid build-up.

Traditionally associated with processing emotion, releasing what no longer serves and protection.

Lapis lazuli

Its dense, smooth surface holds steady heat and releases a gentle, soothing weight of warmth, helping guarded muscles and a busy nervous system unwind.

Traditionally associated with truth, communication, wisdom and self-awareness.

03 / THE CIRCULATION BOOSTERS

Warmth that moves.

Iron- and mineral-rich stones respond to thermal energy by encouraging physical vitality and microcirculation.

Carnelian

Its radiant heat encourages targeted microcirculation, drawing fresh, oxygenated blood to the mat's surface. This warmth soothes stiffness and can ease menstrual cramps.

Traditionally connected with creativity, motivation, confidence and vitality.

Garnet

Its heat supports local blood flow, bringing oxygen-rich circulation to tired tissues to accelerate repair and ease lower-back aches.

A traditional symbol of passion, courage and root-chakra vitality.

Tiger's eye

Provides heavy, penetrating structural warmth for stiff joints, chronic aches and cold extremities, whether you are preparing to move or settling in before sleep.

Traditionally linked with willpower, courage and practical focus.

04 / THE CALMING & GROUNDING STONES

An even, restful glow.

These stones disperse energy evenly across the mat, lending themselves to longer moments of relaxation or meditation.

Turquoise

Its smooth surface shares heat evenly, adding to a calm, grounded and comfortably warm place to rest.

Traditionally viewed as a stone of protection and emotional balance.

White turquoise (howlite)

Cool and smooth to the touch at first, it becomes a comforting, blanket-like warmth as the mat heats. That warmth melts away physical tension and restlessness, preparing the body for deeper sleep.

Traditionally linked with patience, a quieter mood and a meditative state.

Clear crystal (quartz)

A natural energy amplifier alongside the other gemstones, it helps distribute FIR wavelengths evenly across the mat's entire surface, leaving no cold patches.

Traditionally associated with clarity, intention and a moment of reflection.

What the warmth brings.

  1. Deeper penetration. Unlike a standard heating pad that warms only the skin's surface, the heated stones push warmth into muscles and joints.
  2. Longer heat retention. The stones remain warm after the mat switches off, offering a steady cooling-down therapy as the body eases back to baseline.
  3. A nervous-system reset. The weight of the crystals, deep heat and negative ions create a sensory environment that actively reduces stress and anxiety.
A GENTLER HEAT FOR SLEEP

Keep the mat on
low-to-medium.

As sleep approaches, your core temperature naturally needs to fall by around 1°C. A mat set too hot can keep your core temperature and heart rate elevated, making it harder to settle into deep sleep. Daytime muscle-soothing heat need not be the same heat you choose before bed.

The strategy: The mat's temperature can be adjusted for sleep comfort. Choose a warm, gentle setting rather than one that makes you sweat. Much like a warm bath, this softer heat encourages blood vessels to widen, helping your body release internal heat once you step off the mat.
